The Mallory UNILITE® Electronic Distributor is now considered the
industry standard for electronic ignition distributors. Over 15 years of
engineering, development and race testing has produced the most advanced ignition system
in the performance industry.
The Mallory UNILITE® Electronic Distributor is triggered by a photo
optic, infrared, L.E.D. that never varies or wears out and replaces the complete OEM
Distributor with an easy to install three wire connection electronic distributor that is
completely maintenance and trouble free.

MALLORY DUAL POINT MECHANICAL

Mallory designed, engineered and race tested the original Dual Point
Distributor over 30 years ago. New materials and technology have enable Mallory to
improve the performance and reliability of its basic design for today's performance
engines. The Mallory Dual Point Distributor incorporates features not found in
conventional, remanufactured or replacement distributors with the added benefit of
stabilized dual points that increase coil output for maximum performance at any RPM.
Mallory Dual Point Mechanical Distributors come with a preset, factory
installed advance curve precisely calibrated for maximum performance. However, all
Mallory Dual Point Mechanical Advance Distributors also come with a special feature that
allows for further adjustment for specific requirements. Available for most 4,6 and
8 cylinder American engines and some popular 4 and 6 cylinder import engines.

Mallory's engineering staff. It incorporates a redesigned version of the famous
UNILITE module which is now even more dependable than ever before.

The Mallory UNILITE® Breakerless Electronic Conversion Kit replaces
the points and condenser in any OEM GM, Ford or Chrysler 8-cylinder distributor and any
4,6, or 8 cylinder Mallory distributor, converting it to a maintenance free, breakerless
electronic ignition system.
With the electronic conversion, the points are replaced by a module
that contains all of the circuitry needed for an electronic ignition system:
* an integrated photo
coupler
* a signal processor
* a power switch
An optical interrupter makes and breaks the infrared light beam in
the photo coupler. When the optical interrupter breaks the light beam, the circuitry
energizes the ignition coil. The electronic circuitry fires the ignition coil
whenever the optical interrupter allows the light beam to complete its path.

HYFIRE® IV Electronic Ignition Control
The HYFIRE® IV Electronic Ignition Control was designed using the
same state of the art technology that was used in the design of the HYFIRE® V and X
Racing Electronic Ignition Controls so as to produce a low cost, high output capacative
discharge system for use in oval track racing, lower class gasoline fueled cars in drag
racing and for the street / strip enthusiast desiring even more ignition output than is
provided by Mallory's HYFIRE® I, II and III Electronic Ignition Control Systems.
The capacitive discharge design gives stable, uniform output throughout the RPM range with
no drop in output at the higher RPM levels while still providing a strong spark at low
speed fore easy starting and to insure that the spark plugs stay clean and unfouled.
The HYFIRE®IV Electronic Ignition Control can be triggered by points, UNILTE® system or
OEM electronic devices. It was not designed to be used alone with a magnetic pick-up
device. However, the use of Mallory Part No. 619, RPM Limiter or Mallory Part No.
618, High Speed Retard Device will allow the use of magnetic type pick-ups such as a crank
trigger unit. This system is designed so as to produce good results with a standard
OEM coil. However, for best results, always use a Mallory PROMASTER® Coil.
The part numbers to choose from are 28720, 29440 and 29625. Any of these will
provide superior performance through all RPM ranges.

Coils
Mallory's series of PROMASTER® coils were designed for
today's specialized ignition requirements, including breaker point, electronic, and CD
type ignitions. A rugged, glass-filled polyester case along with oil filled
construction assure long life and no electrical losses due to arcing. Choose the
PROMASTER® coil that suits your needs from the descriptions below. The RPM figures
noted are approximate, and may vary depending upon the type of ignition used and state of
engine tune.
